At Cherry River Consulting, we provide our clients with a clear roadmap to value capture through a defined approach to business model evaluation, strategy development, resource planning and implementation. Through our network of independent experts, we can offer you expanded services in finance and operations.
The Cherry River 7-Step Process is a result of successful reengineering experience gained in large, multinational companies and demonstrated within a small company (<$50M) environment. We start with your company’s 3 – 5year goal as the beacon to move from the current “As Is” situation to a future “To Be” state of resource and process alignment. Our focus on data analysis and implementation support helps ensure that outcomes are tangible and successful.
Step 1: The Vision
We start by conducting a series of interviews with the leadership of your organization to understand current strategy, organizational structure and recurring pain points.
Step 2: Data Collection
Data collected includes historical and current sales by product, customers and markets, competitors, sales channels, product costs, margins, income statements and balance sheet. This data is augmented by interviews to gather information on new business opportunities, new product development and marketing plans are documented.
Step 3: Data Analysis
A structured methodology, using proven tools, is used to
develop a more complete understanding of the company’s products, customers,
markets, competitors, product and marketing success and sales channels.
Step 4: Defining the “As Is” State
The current or “As Is” state of the business is developed that includes market strategy, organizational effectiveness, resource deployment, business process use, channel strategy and market competitiveness.
Step 5: Building the “To Be” State
Using process mapping, we will help you build a new operational model and structure. Expert facilitation will draw on the tribal knowledge within the company, meld that knowledge with known process steps and deliver a superior “To Be” or future state.
Step 6: Gap Analysis
In conjunction with leadership, the gap analysis step
identifies the process, organization, resource and skill gaps that, if addressed,
will support the move from the “As Is” to the “To Be” state.
Step 7: Implementation
We have expertise in the areas of job descriptions, interviewing, goals setting and performance evaluation and change management to assist with implementation of the vision.
